Research in Focus
Joaquin’s research has focused on characterizing & augmenting aspects of cognitive control, involving a strong interdisciplinary emphasis centered on the use of state-of-the-art technological approaches to create i) advanced training tools to remediate cognitive deficiencies and ii) use mobile technology to robustly characterize and enhance distinct cognitive abilities outside of the laboratory. The sum of these experiences have allowed Joaquin to work with a number of distinct populations: healthy children, young and older adults, as well as clinical populations involving ADHD, dyslexia, autism, multiple sclerosis, and depressed individuals amongst many others.
